Josh spent a year of self-study in England and Paris before going to Minneapolis for on and off study at the Minneapolis School of Art before returning to Denver, CO, where he currently resides and constantly paints to perfect his own unique style of abstract/contemporary art.
Leather tooling classes as a child inspired experimentation and transfer to oil and acrylics as Josh continued to master his "tooling" canvases. Using #00 brushes in both multiple colors as well as black and white can take up to 2 and 1/2 years to complete this tedious and patient work.
While mostly self-taught, Josh holds a degree in graphic arts from Pikes Peak Community College in Colorado.
